Saturday May 25th will be our 2nd Fund Fly. Event starts at 8am. All members are strongly encouraged to attend this event. There will be Raffles, Concessions, and the Gender Bender Drag Race.
Member admission to the Fund Fly is an item donated to the raffle. There is no minimum or maximum set for the value or quantity of items donated. Look around your shop and bring out your items that are collecting dust and donate to the raffle. Guest andvisitors will be admitted for free.
Raffle tickets are one dollar for one, 5 dollars for seven, 10 dollars for 15, and 20 dollars for an arm’s length measured from fingertip to fingertip. Arm substitution is permitted. Raffles start at 2pm. Must be present to win. If you win an item anddo not want it, you may pass on the item and place it back into the raffle, the ticket however will be void. Items not wanted at end of the raffle may be reclaimed by their donators.
The Gender Bender/Drag Race is a timed event and the event fee is $10.00 with half the pot going to the winner. Rules are as follows:
– Contestant will make 5 circuits of the flying pattern, landing on each circuit. There will be markers to define the minimum distance you may fly your circuit. Failure to round the marker voids that circuit and you have to fly another.
– On each landing, except the last, the contestant is to put on a piece of women’s clothing in the following order: First panties, second bra, third dress, and fourth wig. Leaving out an item or putting on an item out of order is an automatic forfeit. Puttingon an item improperly is an automatic forfeit. There will be safety observers who will hold your radio for you while you get dressed. Leave your engines running and at idle and then hand off the radio to the safety observer. If your engine stops or stalls,restarts are permitted.
– Lowest time to completion wins. Time stops when model lands and stops on last circuit.
– There will be two classes: Quad/helicopters and Fixedwing.
The order of the day will be fun for all while raising money for projects and maintenance to our premier field. Safety will be observed at all times. No alcohol and all pets must be on a leash.
